We will look at the draft syllabus and course calendar.

I will ask you to write two short essays. This is not a graded assignment. Don't stress about it.

I will distribute a CD with Rockwell Arena software on it. This should install on any computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista on it. The path to the install file is as follows:

\arena Install files\Install\Arena\Arena12 (CPR 9)

When it asks you for a Registration key, type the following:

STUDENT

This legal. I have permission from Rockwell Automation to share the student version of Arena for educational purposes.

For next week:

Read Chapter 1 of both textbooks.

Read the Introduction to the Barrett and Greene book.

Install the Arena software on your computer, if possible.
